Job description

Solvay Energy Services (SES), one of Solvay’s global business units, specializes in energy management and CO2 emission reduction. SES consulting services are provided to all Solvay sites globally.
In order to strengthen our international SES team, we are looking for an Energy Manager, dedicated to a variety of energy service topics.
The position will be based at one of Solvay’s sites in Belgium, France or Spain.
Responsibilities
● Effectively lead energy optimization projects at various European sites
● Lead and direct teams in project execution
● Report on project progress to your management and site management
● Solicit help from internal and external experts when necessary
● Work with and advise the Management for the identification and implementation of further projects
● Ensure compliance with the methodology at each site evaluated
● Determine the most effective way to apply the methodology according to the specificities of each site
● Act as coach to the project team member
● Use systematically and rigorously the project management methodology
● Build a network within SES on a global level

Desired Skills and Experience

● University degree in engineering with a specialization in thermal, energy or power engineering
● Successful work experience in an industrial environment
● Certification in project management
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills
● Strong negotiation skill and ability to promote change
● Fluency in English and French
● Good IT skills
