Job description

Ecotelligent Buildings, the commercial division of Ecotelligent Homes, is looking for an energetic, personable and environmentally conscious individual with a desire to develop a career in the commercial energy efficiency industry.  We are growing and looking for a commercial energy auditor with technical and selling skills to help identify energy efficiency improvements and oversee the installation of energy efficient measures for our commercial clients.
Applicants must have knowledge of commercial construction and energy systems and must have the ability to apply building science principals to improve the energy efficiency of existing commercial properties.  Experience with ASHRAE level energy auditing is required. Energy auditing certification is not required (training provided), but it would be preferred if the applicant is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or has an engineering background.  Professional sales experience is preferred, but at a minimum applicants must be willing to apply skills learned in sales training (training provided) to generate leads and close sales.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop energy efficiency solutions to meet customers’ financial and energy savings targets
  • Improve efficiency and accuracy of internal energy auditing processes
  • Work with other auditors to provide high quality customer service
  • Coordinate installation of energy efficiency measures
  • Process rebate and program related paperwork
  • Generate customer leads, and close sales of energy efficiency improvements
  • Create and deliver presentations
Qualifications:
  • Attention to detail and problem solving
  • Drive for constant improvement and ability to implement changes
  • Team player with respect for customers’ property
  • Organization and project management
  • Microsoft Office and time management
  • Friendly with effective communication of technical detail and willingness to apply sales training
  • A Bachelor’s degree in an engineering area or equivalent
  • 1-5 years technical sales experience
